Mitch is a Certified NVC Trainer who sees empathy as a path for both inner clarity and for social change, and is passionate about transformative ideas and practices of NVC.
Mitch facilitates groups and trainings in BC, AB and Yukon, working with individuals and organizations. He’s on the guest faculty for The Haven (haven.ca). He lives on Gabriola Island, BC, with his wife, Angela Walkley (also a facilitator and CNVC Trainer Candidate), their 2 sons Tomio and Sam, and various other creatures.
In the past, Mitch has worked as an educator, filmmaker, and writer, with a passion for human rights. He won the 2013 Canadian Screenwriters Award for his documentary, A Sorry State (asorrystate.com).
